Starting in September, higher vocational ICT students will have the choice to obtain a second-degree teaching qualification within their normal period of study. This allows them to work as ICT teachers in secondary schools, for which there is a great need. The Hogeschool van Amsterdam (HvA) makes it possible.
At the HvA, the HBO-ICT program and the Faculty of Education and Education are joining forces to reduce the shortage of computer science teachers. Starting next academic year, ict students will be able to follow a special track, which has been set up together with the teacher training program.
