Utrecht-based E-Wise and Danish Blueprint Learning continue together as Reducate
Utrecht-based e-learning company E-Wise is joining forces with Danish company Blueprint Learning. Both companies will continue under the name Reducate, claiming to be the largest European platform dedicated to online learning for professionals. Reducate focuses on the medical, financial, legal and education sectors.
The European market for online training for professionals is growing rapidly. Meanwhile, this market represents an annual value of more than five billion euros. 'I estimate it will rise to twenty billion in 2030,' predicts Hans van Veggel, founder of E-Wise. The market is still fragmented today. The new combination expects sales of seventeen million euros this year.
Reducate has one hundred thousand daily users on a subscription basis. The ambition is to rapidly increase the number of users to half a million through international expansion. Van Veggel: "It doesn't stop with this collaboration. In the coming months and years, we plan to have more large e-learning platforms across Europe join.'
The strategy is not primarily to buy companies, but to merge into a bigger picture and have them work together in it. The plan is to provide knowledge and capital through the platform to scale up. Entrepreneurs who join will retain day-to-day management.
