Total Specific Solutions has acquired Edubox and Lusoinfo, software vendors that provide local governments in Portugal with education management software. These are acquisitions number two and number three by TSS in the Portuguese software market, following Algardata earlier this year.
Edubox operates in the education and public sectors. The company specializes in developing educational management software and related products such as consulting and training. Lusoinfo provides digital educational content such as videos, multimedia activities, digital content and downloadable worksheets.
The acquisitions were completed by the end of September. During the past third quarter, TSS also acquired seven other software providers, namely UK-based Sicon (business software for SMEs), German companies VDV (insurance software) and TTE-Europe (track & trace for explosives), Portugal-based software group Algardata Sistemas Informáticos, UK maritime software division Subsurface and Lloyd's Register's Swedish risk technology provider RiskSpectrum, and Elon's Electra Smart POS system from Sweden.
After three quarters, the acquisition counter for TSS stands at 26 transactions, five of which are Dutch. With this, the software investor is heading for a new annual record.
