Collaboration with H20 Esports should foster interest in programming
Young people between the ages of 12 and 17 can learn about programming for free starting this week in Purmerend, Utrecht and Rotterdam. In collaboration with gaming center H20 Esports, Samsung opened the first Samsung Innovation Campus in Purmerend this week.
In 10 intensive three-hour sessions, 75 young people will get to work with popular gaming platforms, such as Minecraft Code Builder, Scratch and Rur-ple. The idea is to cultivate their interest in a future in ICT. There are thousands of job openings in the sector, more than half of which are difficult to fill.
