After a tender for workplace equipment, Saxion has chosen Protinus IT's offer. Together with partners, the IT service provider will set up the hybrid workplace environment for the East Netherlands university of applied sciences in the coming years. It has been agreed that Protinus IT will eventually offer the 'managed workplace' as a service. The framework agreement has a maximum term of four years, and a maximum size of fifteen million euros.
According to Armin Tangelder, team leader Service Desk & Support at Saxion', the university aims to provide services that are fully in line with the employee journey. Here, all the workplace equipment belonging to a function is automatically set up and made available and the employee is optimally supported in his or her needs. This service must grow from the so-called plateau 1 - fulfillment - via plateau 2 - deployment - to ultimately plateau 3: workstation-as-a-service.
Protinus IT demonstrated in the tender that they can complete and support this project, Tangelder said. Standard requirements such as continuity of service, a good price/quality ratio, manageability and optimal connection of processes were important components within the tender.
Saxion is a college of higher professional education (hbo) with 27,505 students, 2,812 employees, 126 programs and educational locations in Apeldoorn, Deventer and Enschede.
