Retail chain Zeeman is starting an internal training program for starters. They will help the company with the digital transformation in which the textile giant is shaking up its processes, organization and ict systems. Participants in the two-year program can develop their digital knowledge and skills and put them to work for the company. Zeeman also hopes to keep them on board afterwards.
The traineeship was set up together with post-graduate training provider Digiship. Starters work together with experienced employees on projects in the fields of e-commerce, data analysis, business intelligence and customer experience. Candidates are supervised by both subject teachers and a personal growth and development coach from Beeckestijn Business School. In addition to working on business and technical data projects and processes, participants are trained in presentation techniques, self-reflection and agile working, among other things.
The retail chain is currently implementing a number of major ict innovations including a new Microsoft Dynamics ERP system. According to interim ict director Menno van Drunen, who started Feb. 1, 2022, a lot of catching up is being done. Zeeman is being prepared for the new way of working, a cloud-first strategy and getting ict security in order, among other things. Internal logistics and customer service must also be improved.
