Dutch security expert NFIR is expanding its field of activity to Belgium. To do so, the Hague-based company is closing a partnership with Toreon. This is an Antwerp-based provider of cybersecurity expertise with sister company Data Protection Institute (DPI) as a trainer and provider of a chief information security officer (ciso) training program in the Benelux.

As part of this partnership, NFIR offers services such as incident response, forensics and security monitoring to Toreon's customers. That company can thereby respond to the strong demand among its Belgian customers for incident response services.

'By partnering with NFIR, we can now offer our customers a full range of cybersecurity services,' said Wouter Avondstondt, co-founder of Toreon. 'With NFIR's experienced incident response teams on board, we can help our customers respond quickly and effectively to cyber attacks, minimize the damage and get them back on track as quickly as possible.'

Arwi van der Sluijs, general manager of NFIR: 'Our team of more than sixty experts responds to cybersecurity incidents in small- and medium-sized enterprises and government in the Netherlands. We now also bring this incident response expertise to clients in Belgium.'
