Conclusion offers job guarantee to status holders who are retrained as IT professionals. Together with the Hogeschool van Amsterdam and Stichting voor Vluchteling-Studenten UAF, the Utrecht-based IT service provider is coming up with a work-study program for this group.
The World CITizens @ Work project distinguishes itself because prior to the learning-work program, status holders are offered an employment contract with Conclusion. Subsequently, they follow a one-year customized learning-work program at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, both in language and IT.
The three parties entered into the agreement for three years. The first group will start training at the HvA in November this year and is expected to join Conclusion in September 2024. This cycle will take place at least two more times. A language course is followed by the Make IT Work program, an intensive retraining program tailored to Conclusion's caseload. To ensure proper guidance and a soft landing, Conclusion places a buddy on the shop floor. Both the buddy and the candidate are supervised by UAF.
To give everyone an equal chance, candidates do not have to have compulsory prior education or IT knowledge. However, an assessment by the HvA screens them for the required level of higher professional education. An application matching procedure then starts so that candidates end up at a Conclusion company that matches their ambitions.
Conclusion has over two thousand employees. Aided by a capital injection of 410 million euros, the IT service provider wants to expand significantly in the coming years. The company is owned by the Fentener van Vlissingen family.
