2.4 million for Tilburg digital tech research

Tilburg University is investing extra in research in digital, social sciences and humanities to provide solutions to current challenges. Four research projects will receive total funding of 2.4 million euros. These "Icon Projects" focus on breaking through poverty, support in healthcare, improved access to government decisions and equal opportunities for healthy lifestyles.

The projects are part of the Digital Sciences for Society program, focused on research, teaching and organizing collaboration. They include scientists from different faculties, departments and other universities.

Partners who are interested, have contact with users or can contribute specific expertise are also involved, such as the Dutch Association of Hospitals, the Association of Dutch Municipalities, the Maatschappelijke Ontwikkelings Maatschappij and Nakko, an app builder for the retail industry.
