Results in magazine and at Cybersec Europe
Computable Netherlands and Belgium are once again researching the state of security budgets in the Benelux. Last year this research took place for the first time; it will be followed up in 2023. The results of the research will be presented in the Netherlands in the magazine special on cybersecurity, in Belgium the results will be presented during the second day of trade fair Cybersec Europe, which takes place April 19 and 20 in the Brussels Expo. You can participate in the survey until Sunday, March 5, 2023.
Following the 2022 survey, Computable received several requests to repeat the security budget survey. There are numerous security studies available in the market, but a thorough look at how budgets are spent is lacking. Last year, the overall conclusion was that over fifteen percent of the Dutch ICT budget is spent on security. Benelux-wide this percentage is almost seventeen percent.
Enigma Research conducts the survey on behalf of Computable. This year's survey is slightly expanded from 2022. Again, issues such as ransomware, outsourcing and whether or not to deploy a soc are covered. But this year, in addition to country, segmentation will be done by type of security and specific players who are in that sub-segment. We also look at the size of the organization, how the number of security specialists compares to the total ict department and what percentage of the ict budget is spent on security.
