Scale-up Lepaya (edtech) is acquiring Swiss training company Krauthammer with over a hundred employees. With this, the fast-growing Amsterdam-based online trainer hopes to gain better access to Krauthammer's more traditionally thinking clientele.

Krauthammer has a strong position in its own home market and the French market for management and sales training. The Swiss provides corporate training in more than 20 languages. The company had not recovered well from the Covid-19 dip.

Lepaya has already made a series of acquisitions, but this one is by far the largest. Late last year, the education tech company absorbed British company Speak First. With VCoach, Lepaya has acquired a German specialist in ai-driven coaching. Training and data specialist Smartenup, also from Amsterdam, also belongs to the group of companies.

The aim of these acquisitions is to scale up Lepaya's learning platform. Lepaya deploys innovative technology such as virtual reality (vr) and coaching based on artificial intelligence (ai). Director/co-founder René Janssen foresees further consolidation in the area of training and development.
