Free access to over 1 million scientific articles
Since October 2019, all teachers in primary, secondary and intermediate vocational education in the Netherlands can access EBSCO Education Source for free. This database of scientific articles on educational research is free to read.
EBSCO Education Source
On average, it costs a teacher tens of dollars to download an article from an academic journal. An obstacle for teachers who want to renew and improve their education with insights from educational research. Therefore, the PO-Raad, VO-raad, MBO Raad, Nationaal Regieorgaan Onderwijsonderzoek (NRO) and the KB, the national library, have joined forces in 2019 and organized access to EBSCO Education Source.

Through Voordeleraar.nl, teachers can sign up for free to access the EBSCO Education Source. Since November 2022, schools can get access through Entree Federation of Kennisnet. If your school is not (yet) affiliated with Entree Federation, you can also sign up through OpenAthens, a secure and fast way of logging in.
