Majority of students need to continue studying
Less than half (44 percent) of mbo students in ICT development and management are satisfied with their preparation for the work field. The majority (61 percent) of them therefore continue their studies for a while. Only 34 percent immediately start looking for work after completing this MBO study. On average, they then earn 12.06 euros per hour, while their work week is above average at 37 hours. This is according to the Keuzegids mbo 2023.
By the way, the Keuzegids mbo 2023 also shows that an average number of students complete the ict development and management program well, 83 percent. Few quit the study without getting a diploma. The majority of students get a degree that matches their prior education. Only 17 percent graduate below their level.
Level 3 trains as an all-round employee of it systems and devices. In this position, you make sure that a company's computers and networks work properly. Because a reliable network is becoming increasingly important, network security has recently received more attention.
The expert it systems and devices course is at level 4. This course focuses on the construction of information systems or networks. Topics covered include cloud management, backup strategies and security. Another course at this level is software developer. You will learn to develop your own apps, websites and games. This involves not only programming and writing scripts, but also assessing what the customer needs.
The ICT support employee training is at level 2. In addition to technology, attention is paid to customer orientation. The majority of first-year students advance to the second year. However, there are more dropouts on average.
