Only Maastricht University escapes low level

The Netherlands lacks master's programs in artificial intelligence. Compared to other studies, these studies await moderate ratings. It means a repeat of last year.

This emerges from the "Keuzegids Masters 2023," the independent publication that annually lists master's programs in the Netherlands, both at the hbo and wo level. It looks at the content of the program, teachers, testing, career preparation and atmosphere. A score can be obtained for each theme.

Only Maastricht UM gets a plus on more than one of the five components. Content, preparation and testing are fine there. Amsterdam UvA only scores a plus on content, while Utrecht UU does well on testing. The largest ai master's program, that of Amsterdam VU, remains below par on all components. The professors there score well below average.
