Education and child care only truly flourish in a healthy and safe environment. That is why this is an important theme at NOT 2025. Every day, parents entrust their children to teachers, educational staff and other professionals who help them find direction and develop. Students benefit from an environment where they feel safe and secure, with adults they can rely on. For some children, a teacher or child care worker can even make the difference between choosing one path in life or another. 

The need for a safe environment in and around schools cannot be overemphasized. Social safety has rightly received much attention, and physical safety is also a current and important issue. The influence of street culture within school walls has increased, reinforcing the importance of clear rules and educational duties. But where is the line between education and parenting? 

In addition, cybersecurity and online safety are important topics in our digital age. 

A healthy school also means attention to healthy eating, adequate exercise and respect for nature and the environment. Although education and child care cannot solve all social problems, they can contribute to a healthy lifestyle for students. 

For everyone working in education and child care, a healthy and safe work environment is equally important. School leaders and administrators play a crucial role in this.
